About
Crooked Rider is an original music project created by Michael Simpsonelli, blending cinematic instrumental compositions, studio recordings and live performance.
The project began in 2015, following Simpsonelli's composition work on Network Entertainment's I Am Chris Farley documentary. A subsequent request for Western-themed music inspired a collection of original instrumentals that became the foundation for Crooked Rider.
Together with guitarist Zach Graham, Simpsonelli brought the music to the stage, performing at motorcycle shows and events around Vancouver.
The project has also expanded into interactive entertainment with Gunfire At Dusk!, an original browser-based arcade game conceived, designed and developed by Simpsonelli.
These tracks feature Simpsonelli on guitars, bass, drums, synth and glockenspiel. Night Sands features Noah Walker on guitar and bass.
Recorded, mixed and mastered by Simpsonelli at Woodland Sound Studio.
